Careers in the offshore oil and gas industry are diverse and challenging. Many roles in this sector require maritime qualifications, because of the size and complexity of the vessels.
Vessels operating in the offshore will vary in size, power and complexity depending on the area in which they operate. There may also be opportunities to obtain work on specialist vessels, or ships involved in some major projects that are currently underway in Australian waters.
Maritime careers in the offshore sector are the same as those available in the Blue Water sector of the maritime industry.
